إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ لِلَّهِ ,نَحْمَدُهُ ,وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ , وَنَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ سَيِّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا ,مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ , وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ , وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَباَرِكْ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلىَ آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ تَسْلِيْماً كَثِيْراً
My brothers and sisters,
As the month of Hajj starts, we will remind the blessings of these blessed Hajj days, and the stories pertaining to these 10 days. It was during these 10 days that prophet Ibrahim AS did certain rituals that all our Rasool ALLAH SAW did as well, and all the Muslim are going to perform the same rituals during the Hajj days. Ibrahim AS legislated for us certain actions that we now do as the rights of Hajj. And ALLAH SWT earmarked those footsteps that Ibrahim AS and his family Hajar, and Ismail AS performed during the blessed Hajj days.
The piety of one person, the rituals, the sacrifices, the legacy has been etched and preserved for billions of Muslims to follow, walking in his footsteps. Even the most blessed our Rasool SAW also followed the steps of his father Ibrahim.
مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمۡ إِبۡرَٲهِيمَۚ هُوَ سَمَّٮٰكُمُ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ
it is the milla of your father Ibrahim. It is ALLAH Who has named you Muslims, both in earlier books and in this (Revelation)
ALLAH SWT ordered his prophet Ibrahim AS to migrate to Makkah to make his holy house,
إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيۡتٍ۬ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِى بِبَكَّةَ
And ALLAH SWT asked Ibrahim AS
وَأَذِّن فِى ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلۡحَجِّ يَأۡتُوكَ رِجَالاً۬
And call ˹all˺ people to the pilgrimage. They will come to you on foot
For the people going to Hajj, ALLAH SWT give some guidelines regarding intentions of Hajj:
وَأَتِمُّواْ ٱلۡحَجَّ وَٱلۡعُمۡرَةَ لِلَّهِۚ
And complete the Hajj and Umrah only for ALLAH. Don’t boast when going to Hajj, don’t show off, when you are at Hajj, keep yourself focused towards ALLAH SWT, you are there in the barren land only for ALLAH. The only purpose of Hajj is to get the mercy of ALLAH, that you can get when you ask and ask and make dua and make dua.
And what do you bring with you at Hajj? ALLAH SWT tells you, Take ˹necessary˺ provisions ˹for the journey˺—surely the best provision is righteousness ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰۚ
وَتَزَوَّدُواْ فَإِنَّ خَيۡرَ ٱلزَّادِ ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰۚ
We ask ALLAH SWT to allow us follow these guidelines of Hajj, and whoever has gone for Hajj, we ask ALLAH SWT to accept their Hajj. Whoever intention for Hajj, may ALLAH accept them for going to Hajj next years to come. And may these Hajj days be a reason for us to bring closer to ALLAH SWT, ask him for his mercy over us.
